This is really a wonderful painting. The skin is really well done and I love how you've used so many hues to paint it - they blend beautifully from orange to pink to red. As a result, the whole painting feels warm and inviting, easy on the eyes and very enjoyable to watch. Same goes for the hair, I love how used so many colors on the highlights.

There a few things I'd like to point out, though. As the face is so carefully done, there should be similar blend of colors on the neck too. Now it seems to lack shadows completely and seems too pale next to the otherwise healthy skin shade.

Also, I'm not entirely sure if the large area of hair on the left side should be so uniform - one or two highlights might have added more depth to the work since the whole fringe and the right side are so detailed. The left side doesn't need much, but maybe one or two lighter strokes to balance out the whole.

All in all this is a beautiful work of art and very skillfully done!

You have the balance between the eyes and the lips just right, they are not divorced from each other or constrained in their balance. There is sparkle in the eyes that is mimicked in the nearly smile on the lips. I like this.

The light is handled very well and you do seem to have thought about this very carefully, it does make the whole painting stand out, this is not all that easy with portraits in watercolor. I do like the yellow and red strands in the hair especially where you have used it to signify light and shade.
