Description

Full title - You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth.
I'll have to thank Meatloaf for that one :P
I'll also have to thank Sara :iconnighttimebeautiful: for the lovely reference picture.
It was done in watercolour on cold press.
I have to say I like this one a lot personally :)

Everything about "You Took the Words (Out of My Mouth)" seems to speak of serenity in a period of violence, and you do this with a solid grasp of both art and craft. The background appears stained, contrasting strikingly with her white skin, and the wild waving of her hair contrasts equally brilliantly with the look on her face that, to me, speaks of being overwhelmed by beauty. Your choice of color seems to follow the same thought, with reds all around (speaking of violence and passion), with soft tones of blue (speaking of peace and calm). The look in her eyes is nothing short of awestruck and makes me wonder what she's looking at.

As far as technique goes, it looks incredible. The reds and blues shade perfectly and the browns frame amazingly. My only critiques are with the right half of the nose, and her left ear (which is a bit too low).

Overall an absolutely brilliant painting, painted brilliantly by an absolute artist.
